YOTEL MANCHESTER

Manchester, M2

MY Construction has recently completed the new 261 key Yotel in Manchester.

Originally branded as a QBIC, our client Cerberus Capital has sold the hotel, resulting in a re-brand to Yotel.

The project involved the intelligent re-use of a former 1960’s office building (John Dalton House).  We stripped the building back to shell and core, added two additional floors, before completely replacing the old façade with new, high-performance cladding.  The project required forming new lift cores and the provision of associated roof level plant, in addition to a full fit out, as part of a turnkey D&B project.  The client’s architect 5Plus was novated to MY Construction and played a key role in the successful delivery of the project.

We have formed a new signature bar and restaurant (Motley), plus basement gym.  During the project we maintained the existing commercial premises on the ground floor, plus delivered public realm works, including the enhancement of Mulberry Square.
